End of the Year.. iPhone

Well it is the end of the year.. a few more days of 2007 and I thought I would post a few thoughts on the iPhone so far. I have to say this is a nice unit and so far I have not wanted another phone enough to go have a look since getting this phone. Having said that lets go over some of the rumors...
16GB phone on the way.. Well this seems more likely than not. As memory prices continue to drop we will see larger and larger storage for simular prices. Now personally I do not need any more than the 8GB that I have now as I barely put anything other than podcasts and a few videos on there. I have stopped using the device as a storage for all my music. I still use my Zune and iPhone 3G for that.
Flash Support - Well many on the net said that this was a going to be released for sure. I had my doubts and it looks like till flash does something more iPhone / mobile specific we will be out in the cold when viewing sites with flash. It was all the talk when the iPhone was launched but seems to have fizzeled out a bit more recently.
3G - Well this is going to happen as when it is launched in Japan they better have this or they will not be talking to many. I would guess that Japan will be the first place to see the 3G phone. Then the rest of the world will get in on the fun. I am guessing that most people are happy with the EDGE network for the few things that you may be doing away from wi-fi. Personally I would love 3G but not sure how much I "need" it.
MMS Support - THis is a shock to me. Why can't this phone handle the MMS messages. A shocker today was that I got a message from ATT saying someone sent me one and I could log onto a site and view it. This makes me think that this is not something that is going to be on the way for the iPhont.
Well there are a few more rumors but you get the idea. The phone works quite well for what it does and early next year when the API comes out I am sure we will see much more functionality. Can't wait.. For now I am quite content with what apple has offered us as their first effort.
