Verizon has done it again
Monday, January 9, 2006 at 1:37AM Well Verizon has the new Treo 700w phone in their stores. They are the first so getting lots of press with this one. Lots of Windows MObile users have been waiting for his one since it is the first time that they will get a chance to use a Treo with their favorite software on it.
Well leave it to Verizon to mess things up. Bluetooth wich has long been a thorn in Verizon's side is at it again. So you go head to the store and pickup your new Treo expecting to be able to use it in your car via bluetooth and take advantage of the EV-DO speed on your laptop. Well think again. Many cars like the Prius (how could they leave this one out) will not work with the bluetooth. Verizon has also dissabled the function that would let you use the phone as a modem. There are some other things that people are complaining about that have nothing to do with Verizon but I read about the bluetooth and thought it was just silly. With their CDMA competator laxing up on their bluetooth data usage it seems that Verizon would follow suit.
Well enough of this rant.. I played with one and it was pretty cool. I will stick to my PAlm based device for now.
