Panther thoughts

Well a few days into Panther and I have to say it was worth the update price. It seems to have made my laptop a bit faster and it has also improved the battery life. Seems the apps launch a bit faster and the machine certainly boots faster.

I am even impressed with the update features and I updated the iBook and it seems to have worked perfectly. Made that machine a bit faster and did not seem to loose any settings. For the powerbook I did a clean install and that went without a hitch as well.

I have played with expose a bit and so far I really like it. Seems to be a nice fast interface that makes the smaller screen on the laptop even more usefull. I am a big fan of the virtual desktop but between the cool launch bar and this I can live without it on the mac.

Fire was still raging today so I spent all day in the house. The soot and smoke are making the air pretty bad.
